yarnbombIt’s a big day this Saturday (13th) as Rowntrees Park celebrates 92nd birthday with a party from 2-5pm.

There are various stalls and craft activities going on so you can try your hand at weaving, pom-pom making and from finger to extreme knitting!

Various groups around York have got together to yarnbomb the area by the dovecot. Yarnbombing is a form of street art using colourful, often knitted, items.

The UFO (UnFinished Objects) craft group at the Golden Ball have added their own decorations to the bronze horse (near the Butcher Terrace entrance).

Come along and see what you think of our efforts! At the end of the event all the yarnbombed items will be taken down and sold in aid of Oxfam.
