The Golden Ball is adopting a hedgehog, Noah, rescued from the floods, from Selby Wildlife Rescue (see tomorrows Evening Press). He will be released into Bishophill Community Garden, with two females, Sugar and Spice.

Could you spare a bit of time to help to help Noah settle in the area? He will need a home building so that he can (hopefully) hibernate, and will need feeding until the cold weather returns and he can start his hibernation.

A perfect project for a family perhaps, who’d like to get a little closer to nature?

If you’d like to volunteer, please call into the Golden Ball and have a word with Karen, the Manager. Expert advice and support will also be given by Selby Wildlife Rescue.
